An inventor from Arnold, Mo., has designed and patented a plaque that displays a collection of sports cards.
InventHelp, a company that assists inventors with exposure and opportunities for profit, says it has a client who has designed a plaque that can display sports cards in a more versatile fashion.
The "Sports Card Showcase" enables individuals to have the option to create different designs by moving the interchangeable card holders inside the display.
The Sports Card Showcase would feature a rectangular plaque, which would be producible from wood or molded plastic and would feature routed edges, a metal nameplate, and top-loading plastic cases. The plaque would include a series of recessed rectangular areas sized to accommodate a trading card and its plastic case. The recessed areas would be arranged to simulate the player formation of a particular sport.
A user would load the sports cards into the plastic cases and secure them to the recessed areas using the provided hook-and-loop fasteners. The recessed areas would be producible in a variety of formations to enable the user to showcase baseball, football, basketball or hockey cards.
InventHelp announced via press release that it is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review in hopes of negotiating for a sale or royalties for the inventor.
