After a one-year virtual event, the Industry Summit will return to an in-person event in 2021 with a trading card show along for the ride.
Beckett will again run the business-to-business event, set for September at the Westgate Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The Industry Summit brings together licensors, licensees, distributors, retailers, breakers, manufacturers, and others in the industry. Presentation and speakers, networking, breakout sessions, panel discussions, product showcases and offsite events are typically part of the agenda.
Summit Director Ted Barker says this year’s Summit has expanded to include an open-to-the public card show but if you want to attend–and go to the Summit– plan on being in Vegas for the entirety of the Summit, plan on being in Vegas for at least six days. The card show is scheduled for the Westgate on Friday and Saturday, September 10-11. The Summit will run from September 12-15.
“The card show is a tremendous addition, and the time is right,” Barker stated. “Our industry has reached a new era of success the last 18 months and collectors are streaming to card shows as they begin to open again. Our 200-table event will sell out quickly.”
In addition to Panini, returning key partners include Leaf Trading Cards, Beckett Grading Services, Beckett Authentication Services, Fanatics Authentic, eBay, GTS Distribution, Southern Hobby Supply, Peach State Sports, Magazine Exchange, NFL, NFL Auctions, NBA, Arcane Tinmen and many more. Several new partners and Product Showcase exhibitors will also be announced in coming weeks.
For those who want to participate without traveling to Las Vegas, Barker says there will be a “limited virtual experience” as well that will include live access to the main stage presentations.
