Facility problems have the Eastern Pennsylvania Sports Collectors Club searching for a new venue in hopes of reviving the show by the end of the year.

For the first time in its 31-year history, the Philly Show is being cancelled. Despite the bad news, management company EPSCC assures collectors and dealers that the show’s disappearance is only temporary.
EPSCC posted the announcement on the Philly Show’s website (http://www.phillyshow.org) earlier this month but say they are optimistic that future shows will go on as planned.
The 96th Philadelphia Sports Card & Memorabilia Show was scheduled for September 29 through October 1. The Ft. Washington Expo Center had been the location for the Philly Show for 13 years but was closed after the 95th show in June when it was sold.
In a press release, EPSCC blames the cancellation on “logistical concerns regarding the new facility” but say they are confident the show scheduled for December 1-3 will be open on schedule at its new location. That location has not yet been revealed but EPSCC asserts that “significant progress” is being made and an announcement will follow once the details are final.
