No word on what prompted his decision to sell.
Three Baltimore area dealers are sponsoring a card show at the Babe Ruth Museum and Birthplace in Baltimore on Saturday, July 16.
Robbie’s First Base, Simms Sports Cards and Baltimore Sports Collectibles are sponsoring the event and each will have cards and other memorabilia for sale.
It’s the first time a card-related event has been held at the facility.
A ticket covers entry to the museum as well, which has the 1914 Baltimore News set with Ruth’s multi-million dollar pre-rookie card on display. It’s $13 for adults; $11 for seniors and $7 for kids.
There will be live box breaks, some special guest, both modern and vintage cards for sale, raffles and a food truck or two if you get hungry.
Hours are 10 AM to 4 PM.

The 1/1 Mac Jones rookie pulled by the 13-year-old collector/dealer and reportedly sold for $100,000 has now been graded by its new owner. It received a 10 from PSA.
The Colorado Avalanche are auctioning jerseys and pucks used in this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs.
Over 50 game jerseys and nine pucks are currently on the block, with auctions ending this week. Three Cale Makar jerseys are part of the current group being sold.
Proceeds are being donated to local charities.
