The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame has named Goldin Auctions as its official auction partner. The multi-year partnership will feature an annual basketball-themed auction with proceeds benefitting the non-profit Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, which is located in Springfield, MA.
“Similar to our partnerships with the Babe Ruth Birthplace & Museum and the Jackie Robinson Foundation, this relationship will empower us to help the Hall raise money and preserve the history of the sport,” stated Ken Goldin, founder of Goldin Auctions.
John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame added: “We are very excited to have Goldin Auctions join the Basketball Hall of Fame family. We look forward to hosting our annual auction and expect it to be a tremendous success given their expertise and reach.”
As the partnership evolves in the coming years, both parties will aim to identify additional opportunities for partnership extension. Individual Hall of Famers will have the opportunity to utilize Goldin Auctions for their own personal memorabilia sales. Goldin is currently selling the personal collection of 1995 inductee Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
In the past, the Hall has held partnerships with Grey Flannel Auctions and most recently, SCP Auctions.
