Police just wanted him to turn on his headlights but one pack-searcher got a little spooked.
A long time ago, the biggest crime against a pack of baseball cards was moving the paper around to try and see who was inside. Now, ‘collectors’ bring scales into Target and other retail outlets to try and determine which packs contain the weighty memorabilia and autograph cuts that can be worth a lot of money (at least for a few months).
Last week, we brought you the story of one blogger who got into a surprisingly polite conversation with a pack searcher recently. Now, one has been charged with numerous offenses by police in Massachusetts. But not for crimes against the hobby.
The cops were trying to do a good deed, but according to the Patriot-Ledger in Quincy, the driver/scale-operator apparently wasn’t in the mood to discuss anything with them. Now, he’s facing a few charges from the men in blue.
