A home invasion robbery near San Diego means you should be on the lookout for someone selling a very hot LaDainian Tomlinson autographed helmet.
It was a quiet evening of watching NBA playoff basketball for three men in Fallbrook, California Wednesday night.
Quiet until they heard a knock at the door.
Just before 10 PM, they answered it and four intruders wearing diguises forced their way inside.
The men–described only as four black males– demanded money while ordering the three residents–all in their twenties–to stay on the floor. They struck one of the residents and fled after taking a safe with an undisclosed amount of cash inside–plus a helmet autographed by Chargers running back LaDanian Tomlinson.
San Diego County sheriff’s detectives told local media the injured resident was taken to Palomar Medical Center for a concussion and head injuries. He was listed in stable condition Thursday.
The victims told deputies they were not acquainted with the intruders and would not be able to recognize them because they wore sunglasses and bandanas.
Detectives are investigating the case through DNA and fingerprint analysis.
