Some pieces of modern NHL history are on the block as the greatest scoring left winger in league history sells off part of his collection. Luc Robitaille, who scored 668 goals and passed out 726 assists, has consigned numerous game-worn and game-used items to Classic Auctions.
Proceeds, according to Robitaille and his wife Stacia, will go to Echoes of Hope, a foundation for needy children they started in the Los Angeles area.
Robitaille has consigned several game-worn jerseys from his career as well as sticks and pucks from historic moments.
Included in the auction is his 500th goal puck from the 1998-99 season, the goal and net from his 611th goal that broke Bobby Hull’s left winger scoring record and his game-used stick from the 1993 Stanley Cup Finals.
Robitaille chatted with Sean Leahy of Yahoo Sports about the auction… and the playoffs.
The auction ends June 21.
