There’s no more satisfying feeling for a traditional collector than to say one sweet word: complete. The chase is the fun, but the exhale when the last card is obtained for a set is bliss.
There’s a whole lotta instant bliss being offered in Heritage Auctions’ first event of 2022.
The company’s Trading Card Auction includes dozens of complete vintage sets including some that are among the best in class and others that are fully graded.
The auction, which is currently underway, includes a:run of higher end 1950s and 60s baseball sets, including
- 1956 Topps complete set with all cards graded PSA 8 (Est. $100,000+)
- 1952 Bowman complete set with all cards graded PSA 8 (Est. $100,000+)
- 1960 Topps complete set, all PSA 7 or higher
- 1968 Topps complete set, all PSA 7 or higher
- 1963 Topps complete set with 26 graded cards including SGC 7 Pete Rose rookie
- 1952 Topps low number set, all PSA 5 or higher
- 1952 Topps near set (401/407)
- 1953 Bowman Color near set (143/160 graded PSA 7 or higher)
- 1957 Topps complete set with 56 graded cards
- 1969 Topps complete set with 384 graded cards
There is a 1951 Bowman set, three sets of 1955 Bowman and numerous others including 1960 Leaf, 1955 Topps Doubleheaders, Red Man Tobacco and 1951 Berk Ross.
The auction includes a large run of older basketball sets including three 1957-58 Topps Basketball with Bill Russell’s rookie card, two 1961-62 Fleer, three 1969-70 Topps, mulitple1986-87 Fleer, a signed set of 1985 Star Company Court Kings and others.
There are two 1950 Bowman Football sets, a 1958 Topps Football set with a PSA 7 Jim Brown rookie as well as 1962 and 1963 Topps sets, both with graded cards.
The auction is set to close over a two-night period, Jan. 26 and 27.
