Topps is heavily promoting the 2023 Bowman Draft Baseball release, focusing mostly–on a former football player.
There will be cards of Tom Brady in a Montreal Expos jersey including 81 autographs. Topps will mark the occasion with a funny video to be released soon.
If you’re still in the dark, Brady was a multi-sport athlete in high school and good enough to be picked in the 18th round by the Expos. He opted to play football at Michigan instead and Topps is using its prospect focused Draft product for a “what if” ode to Brady’s teenage baseball days. They showed off a few of the cards in a social media post.
TOM. BRADY. BASEBALL. CARDS. 🤯🐐

On Monday, the Brady cards started to appear on eBay.
The Brady autographed card numbered 12/50 (12, get it?) with this inscription will apparently be the biggest prize of all.
Another inscription, in French, says “Let’s Go, Expos.” There’s also a 1-1 SuperFractor auto.
Brady, by the way, was the last Expos draft pick to retire from professional sports. The team moved to Washington, DC and became the Nationals after the 2004 season.
Bowman Draft is available in Hobby (3 autographs per box) and Jumbo (5 autos). You can check current eBay pricing here.
