New and not-so-new Pro Football Hall of Famers will be in Canton this summer for a couple of signing sessions.
The 2008 Pro Football Hall of Fame class will be inducted Saturday, August 2nd. The next day, all but one of the players will return to the shrine in Canton, OH for a very limited autograph session.
Scheduled to participate in the Class of 2008 Topps Autograph Session are Fred Dean, Art Monk, Emmitt Thomas, Andre Tippett and Gary Zimmerman. Former Redskins’ defensive back Darrell Green will not attend.
Tickets, limited to approximately 300, are $200 and were sold only by phone (1-800-913-9788) beginning last Thursday. The cost does not include an $18 shipping fee. Each ticket entitles the ticket holder to one autograph per participating enshrinee. Art Monk will sign memorabilia except for jerseys, numbers, name plates and rookie cards.
In order to accommodate as many individuals as possible, customers will be restricted to purchasing just one ticket.
All ticket holders to the Class of 2008 Topps Autograph Session will also receive a free Class of 2008 Topps football card set at the session.
Several other Hall of Fame members are scheduled to participate in an additional Topps-sponsored Autograph Session presented by Mounted Memories. That session will be held on Saturday, August 2 from 12:00 noon-2:00 p.m. ET and includes:
12 PM-1 PM: Dick Butkus, Len Dawson, Fred Biletnikoff
1 PM-2 PM: John Elway, Jim Kelly, Gayle Sayers
Prices for the autographs on standard items range from $39 to $179 each.
