The 1970s gave us rookie cards of Mike Schmidt, Dave Winfield, Robin Yount, George Brett, Paul Molitor and Ozzie Smith–among other notables.
More interestingly, it gave us the transition from flannel to double knit, a decade of airbrushing, the end of the nickel wax pack and….some of the wackiest hairstyles you’ll see on baseball cards.
