Brett Favre fades into retirement without getting that second Super Bowl, but for the long term he’s still a solid bet.
When Brett Favre announced his ‘first’ retirement last year, some sports memorabilia shops couldn’t get enough signed pictures or rookie cards.
Then came the reversal, the move from Green Bay and another rush in New York. One and done is the story of his Jets career, but seeing him in a different uniform put a temporary damper on his sainthood in Wisconsin.
Now that his career is apparently over for good, he won’t be adding to his passing records or returning to the Super Bowl–both factors that could have given his stuff another boost. Still, Favre’s photo and autograph have not disappeared from Green Bay shops. In fact, prices remain the same.
