It’s not a surprise but another popular long-running sports card show has been canceled.
The Greater Boston Sports Collectors Club Show announced Thursday that its annual November show would not be taking place due to restrictions on gatherings that are still in place in the state.
The GBSCC began in the early 1970s with private gatherings of collectors. Eventually, it became a membership club with $10 annual dues. The show’s roots date back to the inaugural event in 1986 and 2020 marks the first time the show will not take place.
The GBSCC show has traditionally drawn a large crowd of collectors and dealers from around North American occupying about 275 tables at the Shriner’s Auditorium in Wilmington, MA.
“We already have our new dates for 2021 – November 5th,6th and 7th,” the group stated on its website. “We are also hoping to have a spring show earlier in 2021.”
