A nice collection of PSA-graded Pete Rose cards encompassing his entire playing career has sold for nearly $23,000. No confession of any kind was included.
Pete Rose had 40 basic cards issued during his 1963-1987 playing career. Finding them all isn’t that hard. Finding them all in high enough quality to merit a professionally graded mint designation isn’t impossible, but it is expensive.
The third all-time finest Rose basic set on the PSA Set Registry changed hands on eBay Sunday night, leaving a collector’s possession for $22,887.
The group of 39 cards (missing one 1987 Fleer), drew 7 bids. It included all PSA 9 and 10 graded cards with a GPA of 9.30.
