His love affair with baseball began on a black and white TV. A few decades later, Carlyle Mardian displays his passion for the game in living color. His collection of baseball cards and memorabilia has been turned into a museum of sorts, right above the Palm Garden Restaurant in Aberdeen, S.D.
That’s Mardian’s hometown and he’s proud to have his 30-year accumulation on display. It’s open pretty much whenever the restaurant is.
Mardian has dozens of autographed jerseys, photos and other striking display pieces lined up.
He’s got a special fondness for the game’s sluggers.
