The latest Goodwin and Company auction of vintage cards and memorabilia brought in over $1 million in winning bids.
A lot of 142 different T206 common cards, all graded PSA 5, brought the highest bid in the "Masterpieces and Uncommon Commons" auction which concluded early Friday morning. The group sold for $21,405. Adding in a 17.5% buyer’s premium, the winning bidder paid over $25,000 for the lot.
A T3 Turkey Red Ty Cobb was second runner up in the card category, selling for $17,709 with "the juice". Caramel cards remain hot with a 1910 Standard (E-93) set reaching $15,116.
Fans of the Brooklyn Dodgers were drooling over a PSA 10 (gem mint) Clem Labine card that will cost the high bidder $8722, while a 1960 Topps Hank Aaron card, graded PSA 9 went for $11,789.
