Goldin Auctions says it will donate a portion of the proceeds from all 1800 lots in its upcoming Spring Auction to three charities.
The company says it will donate five percent of the winning bid price for all items in a special section of Kobe Bryant memorabilia to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Academy, five percent of the winning bid price for each item in an auction of Basketball Hall of Fame-related pieces to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, and a portion of the buyers’ premium for all other lots – with a minimum donation of $25,000 – to the CAMCare Foundation for COVID-19 related causes at New Jersey’s Cooper Hospital and PPE at CAMCare health centers.
“We have been building this special auction to benefit both Kobe Bryant’s Mamba & Mambacita Sports Academy and the Basketball Hall of Fame for several months and have assembled a truly remarkable collection of basketball memorabilia,” said Ken Goldin, Founder of Goldin Auctions. “Obviously as the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world dramatically, it’s now more important than ever to help non-profits and our medical professionals during this time of need. We hope our customers appreciate the opportunity to help these worthwhile organizations as much as we do.”
