One of the top 1/1 Justin Herbert rookie cards is now up for auction.
The 2020 Panini National Treasures Platinum NFL Shield is being offered by Goldin. Graded 8.5 with a 10 autograph by Beckett, it’s the headliner in Goldin’s September Elite Auction.
The card’s minimum bid is $250,000. Its subgrades include: Centering: 9, Corners: 8.5, Edges: 8, Surface: 9.5.
The 2017 National Treasures Patrick Mahomes II Autographed NFL Shield Rookie Card (also a BGS NM-MT+ 8.5/Beckett 10) sold for a record price of more than $4 million last year.
The current auction includes two other six-figure quarterback cards: a Black RPA numbered 2/5 2017 Mahomes National Treasures rookie that’s graded 9/10 by Beckett and a 1/1 2020 National Treasures Red 1/1 Joe Burrow RPA graded 8 with a 10 auto.
In all, the auction includes over 400 lots of cards and memorabilia. Other top items include
*A 2004 Lebron James USA Team Jersey set that has a starting bid at $100,000. The jersey was worn by during three pre-Olympic games as Team USA prepared for their appearance in Athens.
*A 1996 ticket stub from Kobe Byrant’s NBA debut against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, Calif., which opened at $25,000
* 2009-10 National Treasures Rookie Patch Autograph #206 Stephen Curry Signed Patch Rookie Card (#51/99) – BGS NM-MT 8, Beckett 10
*Two 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle cards (SGC 6 and PSA 4)
