As stadiums go, it wasn’t around long, but it packed a lot of excitement into those 25 years. The Georgia Dome closed its doors for good last winter and now some of the playing field and other memorabilia are being sold.
Schneider Industries is auctioning off championship banners, player lockers, field-turf, goal post pads, end zone pylons, coaches headsets, signs, posters and other items until Sept. 30.
Need a 20-foot tall Steve Bartkowski banner? It’s here.
Stadium seats were sold earlier this year.
The dome was home to the Atlanta Falcons but also hosted two Super Bowl games, 152 college football games including the SEC championship and three Final Fours. The building is scheduled to be imploded on November 20.
In addition to the auction, they’re selling pieces of the Georgia Dome goal posts for $40, field turf for $25 or the goal line turf for $40.
