Hobby shop owners, distributors, trading card companies, service providers, league representatives and others involved in the sports memorabilia business will gather in Las Vegas this month for the annual Industry Summit.
After spending last year in Dallas, the Summit is set for September 15-18 at the Westgate Resort Hotel and Casino and participation is up, according to organizers.
“We’re thrilled to return The Industry Summit to Las Vegas,” said Co-Host Ray Schulte of Schulte Marking & PR. “Conference registrants has already exceeded two hundred plus to date. We’re looking forward to a very exciting conference.”
The event offers opportunities for networking, one-on-one consultations and the chance to learn business tips and techniques as well as how to effectively manage marketing and social media efforts. Organizers say they’re placing an emphasis on featuring best practices and information sharing. They say this year’s event has been designed to appeal to the entire collectibles industry, not just trading cards.
Schulte is managing the Summit along with Ted Barker, senior sales executive at Beckett Media. Southern Hobby, GTS Distribution and Panini America are among the major sponsors.
Presentations and panel discussions will be offered by hobby shop owners and authenticators as well as Panini, Leaf and eBay representatives, who will offer 30-minute one-on-one sessions with attendees.
Former big leaguers Steve Garvey and Dave Dravecky will be giving separate keynote speeches during the conference. A golf tournament, bowling event and happy hour at a restaurant owned by Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison are also part of the schedule.
More details, registration information and other information on the 2019 Summit can be found on the event’s website.
