The Oakland A’s are clearing out a huge selection of game worn and game issued jerseys while two special NFL jerseys are about to be sold for charity.
The Oakland A’s will spend part of this weekend’s A’s Fan Fest auctioning over 500 game worn jerseys of current and former players according to a news release from the club.
The Pittsburgh Pirates weekend fan fest will include the sale of game used jerseys, bats, baseballs and other items.
Sean Taylor, the first player voted posthumously to the Pro Bowl, will have his jersey number worn at the game by two of his former Redskins teammates.
The NFL announced tight end Chris Cooley and tackle Chris Samuels will both wear No. 21 at the game Feb. 10 in Honolulu. The jerseys will be auctioned after the game, with the proceeds benefiting the Sean Taylor Memorial Trust Fund that was established for Taylor’s daughter, Jackie.
