The hobby got a little jolt of national publicity again Monday when Fox Business News offered a show-n-tell with Goldin Auctions of some of the big ticket items in the company’s holiday auction catalog.
The 1,250-lot sale includes everything from a 1916 Shoeless Joe Jackson card to Ted Williams’ “best bat” to Ric Flair’s robe and jerseys worn by big names in baseball just a few months ago.
There are historical and entertainment pieces in addiion to the more typical sports memorabilia fare.
A Parkhurst Gordie Howe rookie card graded PSA 8 currently carries the current highest bid ($28,000) among the sports lots.
Varney & Company host Stuart Varney and Ken Goldin of Goldin Auctions looked over some of the major memorabilia that’s on the block. You can watch the segment below.
The auction runs through Saturday.
