The show was scheduled to coincide with the Chiefs bye week but instead, it turned into another celebration for the World Series champion Kansas City Royals.
GT Sports Marketing brought in stars from both teams–past and present–to sign autographs at the Overland Park Convention Center.
While some collectors spent the weekend browsing through boxes of baseball cards, others lined up to get World Series items signed by current Royals.
The show got plenty of local media coverage in an area where fans just can’t get enough of the first KC team to win a Series in 30 years. WDAF visited on Saturday. Their story is here:
