Topps’ parent company is surveying hobby shops, breakers and online sellers.
Fanatics posted an online form Tuesday afternoon that has several questions listed. They say they’re trying to gain insight into the businesses that sell sports and entertainment cards.
“We’re taking steps to improve our business and that doesn’t happen without valuable, direct feedback from those who work in the sports and trading card business every single day,” they wrote. “Please note that these responses will not determine allocation, but rather allow us to properly address your needs comprehensively as we continue to build programs to support you and your growing business.”

PSA graded nearly one million cards in July. The company says it shipped 961,602 cards back to customers last month.
In June, the company graded 887,723 sports and non-sports cards. Basketball topped the list at 245,864.
Over half of the items graded in July were from sets from 2010 and later. Among most graded players were Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Shaquille O’Neal, Tom Brady, Mike Trout and Fernando Tatis, Jr. The 1990-91 Fleer Jordan and ’92 Topps Shaq were the top two graded cards.
So far in 2022, PSA has graded and shipped over six million cards and is nearing the end of its massive backlog that reached 12-13 million cards at one point.
