About 50 current and former sports stars are scheduled to sign autographs at the first Philadelphia area show promoted by Fanatics.com.
The Fanatics Authentic Sports Spectacular will set up shop October 17-19 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks, located at 100 Station Avenue, Oaks, PA.
The show will highlight the 1980 World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies with two dozen players, coaches and manager Dallas Green slated to sign. Mike Schmidt, Steve Carlton and Pete Rose are among those on the schedule.
Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps was part of the lineup but is no longer on the schedule. Phelps has been suspended from USA Swimming after a recent DUI arrest.
Goldin Auctions will have a Philadelphia Sports Legends display, a 100th anniversary Babe Ruth collection, as well as the T206 Honus Wagner “Jumbo” baseball card for collectors to view.
General admission to the show is free, but serious collectors can get the ultimate experience with an available VIP package that includes an express line bracelet that gets you to the front of the line in the autograph pavilion, one random autograph ticket, two autograph tickets for a VIP guest, a raffle ticket, and more. Additionally, autograph, inscription, and photo-op tickets are available for purchase at various price points based on each individual athlete. Fanatics says each piece of sports memorabilia autographed at the show can be backed by the Fanatics Authentic hologram.
“We’re excited to bring the Fanatics Authentic Sports Spectacular to Philadelphia for the very first time,” says Ross Tannenbaum, President of Fanatics Authentic. “As a city with a cherished sports history, we look forward to creating special memories with sports fans in Philadelphia and couldn’t be more honored to host a tribute to the 1980 World Series Champion Phillies.”
Sports fans and collectors can order autograph tickets and VIP packages in advance via FanaticsAuthenticShows.com or purchase them at the event.
