There’s a new show on the calendar for this spring. Run by the company that has been producing the Chicago Sports Spectacular, it’s set for March 22-24 at the War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, about 25 miles north of Miami.
Few details have been released yet, but hours will be from 3:30-8:30 on Friday, 9-5 on Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday. Admission is $10. VIP passes will be sold that offer autograph perks and early admission.
The autograph schedule hasn’t been finalized but among the former players listed on the company’s website are Wade Boggs, Rod Carew, Andre Dawson, Johnny Bench, Jim Palmer and Pete Rose.
The show’s date will be in conjunction with the final days of MLB Spring Training. The show’s website is here.
The Chicago Sports Spectacular is scheduled for March 15-17 at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, the same venue that will host this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention July 31-August 4.
Dick Butkus and Lee Smith are the only announced autograph guests for the March Chicago show.
