Over the last year and a half or so, you may have read our stories about Cards for a Cause and its founder, Brady Kahle. After learning of his friend Landen Palatino’s brain tumor diagnosis, Brady decided to sell his sports card collection as a fundraiser for Landen’s family.
The gesture by the ten-year-old boy with a heart of gold caught the attention of local and national media. Brady had a booth at local card shows and even at the 2016 National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlantic City.
Collectors and hobby businesses across North America pitched in with donations to Cards for a Cause and Brady appeared on national news programs. He had raised over $15,000 by July of this year.
We’re sad to report that Brady’s friend Landen passed away Sunday night. He was nine years old.
Brady pledged to continue his fundraising work to honor Landen.
