The Oakland A’s raised over $65,000 for Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief through the Japan Heritage Day event Sunday. The game featured the Mariners, featuring Ichiro Suzuki against the A’s, with Hideki Matsui in the lineup,
The team donated $1 from every ticket sold, and held other fundraising events during the game including the auction of game-worn jerseys from the two Japanese stars. The winning bids in the silent auction were $6,015 for the Ichiro jersey and $4,555 for Matsui’s.

Two teenagers in Mesa, Ariz., have been arrested on charges of stealing an autographed Michael Jordan jersey after its owner found it being offered on Craigslist.
Under the multi-year agreement, IMG Licensing will act exclusively as representation for the brand in Europe and Asia. “This new agreement will see IMG combine its extensive knowledge of the boxer’s life with its global capabilities in product licensing, providing opportunities to extend the brand to new consumer touch points,” reads a press release.
IMG Licensing will seek opportunities in both traditional sports licensing categories including memorabilia and apparel, as well as new business areas.
