Dreams Inc., parent company of Mounted Memories and other sports memorabilia outlets, has a new agreement with America Online’s fan blog site that will include interactive autograph sessions via the internet.
FanHouse, the growing fan blog site operated by AOL, has reached an agreement with Florida-based Dreams Inc to create the FanHouse Fan Shop.
The deal will make Dreams the sole provider of autographs, memorabilia and team gear for AOL’s sports site. As part of the deal, FanHouse will feature live autograph sessions where visitors can order signed memorabilia and interact with sports stars while viewing live-signings of their own items. This will mark the first time a major sports site has featured an integrated live-video signing of personalized memorabilia.
Dreams Retail President and FansEdge Founder Kevin Bates said, "Dreams continually refines its syndication model to add value for its clients and we are proud to be working with AOL to promote sports licensed products and memorabilia to their loyal customers. The deal with AOL validates our faith in the hard work and proprietary technology that we put to good use for our partners."
"We are excited to work with Dreams to offer our customers an opportunity to buy sports memorabilia and other licensed sports products directly through FanHouse," said Derrick Heggans, General Manager, AOL Sports. "This provides another level of content and community integration across our site and another way for our users to really connect with the sports and teams they are most passionate about."
