Don Mattingly’s charitable foundation is offering a limited number of newly designed trading cards, all carrying his signature in gold ink.
They’re being sold to help youth baseball programs in his hometown of Evansville, IN where he still resides in the off-season.
The cards, which include a photo of the former Yankees great on the front and information about Mattingly Charities on the back, are being offered on eBay for $60 each.
Blue-bordered versions numbered to 23 and gold versions numbered to 5 sold out quickly after they were launched Friday.
Mattingly Charities holds regular memorabilia-oriented fundraisers including an auction of game-worn and autographed memorabilia for the same cause that was held last winter.
