Dreams Inc., parent company of Pro Sports Memorabilia, FansEdge, Mounted Memories and other licensed sports product businesses based says its e-commerce operations took in $1.5 million of orders on the first Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday, up 78.5% from the same day a year ago.
While its business boomed Monday, the company was still offering free shipping on orders over $50 on its ProSportsMemorabilia.com site.
The online portals have been an increasing focus for the firm. From 2004 to 2009 the company’s e-commerce revenues climbed from $4 million to $60 million.
The division sells online licensed sports merchandise from the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, and NCAA as well as autographed items, display cases and other collectible-related items.
In late 2008, Dreams also entered into the web syndication market by rolling out Dreams Retail Solution, a suite of ecommerce support services including custom site design, inventory management, and marketing. As of June 2010, 65 companies have signed up, including retailers such as Walmart, JC Penney, and Sears. Other prominent clients include NBC sports and AOL sports.
Dreams’ web syndication business generated about $17 million of revenues in 2009.
Besides its e-commerce operations, the company also sells sports memorabilia through its FansEdge and Field of Dreams retail stores.
