A 2011 Dallas Mavericks is being raffled, with all the proceeds benefitting the Mavs Foundation. The club is selling tickets at $10 each; $25 for three and $50 for seven. Fans can buy tickets at home games or online through the Mavs’ website. Sales will end April 15 but don’t bother unless you –or someone you know–lives within 75 mils of the team arena. You also have to be at least 18 years old to buy a ticket.
The 14 karat white gold Dallas Mavericks 2011 NBA Championship Ring features a diamond set image of the Mavericks horse head logo mounted on a custom cut synthetic blue stone. Also set around the logo are 31 round cut diamonds. Flush set around the rest of the ring top are round brilliant cut diamonds. The ring features 250 brilliant cut diamonds and the winner will be able to have it personalized with their name.
Owner Mark Cuban said last year that he paid $1.4 million for rings for the 15 players on last year’s NBA championship team and the entire coaching staff. Each ring was worth about $40,000–not including the collectible value.
The winner and three guests will be invited to the Mavs final regular season home game on Friday, April 20 vs. Golden State and will be presented with the ring during a halftime presentation.
