Eli Manning remains one of the more popular signers in sports. Winning a Super Bowl will put you on that pedastal–and so will playing in a major market. One signature he gave out last year wasn’t appreciated, though.
After his New York Giants beat the Cowboys in Dallas’ new stadium last season, Manning walked into the locker room attendant’s area and write his name in big, bold magic marker along with the inscription “1st win in the new stadium”.
It didn’t sit well with the team, even though Manning claims he wasn’t trying to show anyone up or leave a New York calling card in Big D.
With the Giants returning to Texas this week, reporters asked him about the whole episode and whether he plans to add another auto if the Giants play in the Super Bowl there come February. Read more at ESPN.com.
