Brazen thieves broke into a rural Indiana home not once, but twice, stealing thousands of dollars in Colts memorabilia from a man employed as the team’s facilities manager and field supervisor.
Troy Glendenning says he lost a Super Bowl ring, an autographed Peyton Manning rookie jersey, game balls and other signed memorabilia from a large collection he’s built over the last 16 years. It wasn’t just a one time break-in, though. Glendenning says he called the Boone County Sheriff’s Department after the first burglary. Then, just two days later, they came back for more.
This time, a security camera outside the property captured an image of a suspicious older model pickup truck with two men inside. It’s a valuable clue–in fact, authorities believe they may know one of the men inside that truck.
Clearly, the thieves aren’t quite hip to the business of inscriptions, though. Glendenning says many of the items that were stolen were personalized to him, meaning they’ll be pretty tough to sell, especially locally, where the case has gotten significant media attention including a lead story on the local newscasts of CBS affiliate WISH-TV and NBC outlet WTHR.
