Dr. Nicholas DePace is proud of the thousands of pieces of sports and entertainment memorabilia he’s collected over the years. He owns a lot of valuable pieces, including the T206 Wagner he bought from those nuns who wound up with it last year.
Now, though, the 57-year-old cardiologist from Haddonfield, N.J. is working on putting a good chunk of his collection where others can appreciate it.
He’s purchased a building that once held a bank in Collingswood, a community he says is perfect for a non-profit museum devoted to the history of the games.
He showed off a few items and talked about his plans here.
