Sometimes the eyes of Texas smile on you.
Collector Andy Purvis bought a box from the Historic Autograph Company’s “In Memory Of” series and landed one of the prime pulls in the entire series.
Each box contains authentic cut autographs of deceased baseball players and former presidents. There are no cards in the product–just autographs–and each is authenticated by PSA.
The series has found a niche with collectors looking for something different–and you won’t have stacks of common cards taking up space in your closet.
Purvis got ultra lucky, and although such a find may not always make hobby headlines, it’s nice to see a local media outlet offer up some love for the hobby in the form of a feature story. Caller.com out of Corpus Christi has the story and a couple of nice pictures.
