Harvey Wildstein, a 76-year-old New Jersey baseball fan, is selling his autographs out of his garage.
Once bitten by the gambling bug, he turned his habit into something a little less risky about 20 years ago. Wildstein has built a huge collection since then, focused on the Yankees but encompassing other baseball legends too.
He owns dozens of autographed baseballs, most authenticated. Photos, programs and just about everything else.
Now he’s ready to sell off at least part of his stash. He’s holding a first-come, first-served sale on his own property this weekend. But he’s not giving this stuff away.
CentralJersey.com says this New Brunswick resident has worked too hard on building the collection to do that–and his memories of Yankees past and present won’t let him part with some of the more special pieces.
