An array of vintage unopened boxes, game-worn jerseys, autographs, lots, singles and complete sets of cards greeted visitors to Collect Auctions’ website Monday as the company’s latest auction went live.
There are are 630 lots in the catalog with bidding set to run through Thursday, August 3 9:00 p.m. CST (10:00 EST).
The lineup includes a 1973 Topps baseball third Series wax box; unopened vending boxes of 1970 Topps baseball; a pair of hand-painted Muhammad Ali boxing gloves, with one signed “Cassius Clay” and the other signed “Muhammad Ali”; a Derek Jeter 2004-08 game-used Louisville Slugger bat; a Brett Favre game-used home jersey inscribed “10/14/2007; a complete 1986-87 Fleer Basketball set with every card graded
PSA 8 or higher; an assortment of signed books, a collection of 65 National League Rookie of the Year single-signed baseballs; a David Ortiz game-used baseball inscribed “Hit 2467, 9/25/16”; a Mickey Mantle and Hank Aaron dual-signed 1958 Topps World Series Batting Foes card and signed 1952 Topps, 1953 Topps and 1952 Bowman Mickey Mantle artwork by Gerry Dvorak.
Many of the key items will be on display next week at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago (July 26-30). Collect Auctions will be set up in booth number 1112P to distribute catalogs, answer questions and take consignments for its next auction. They’re looking for vintage baseball cards (sets, partial sets, singles, graded, ungraded); unopened wax, cello, rack and vending (BBCE wrapped); autographs from sports, history and entertainment; Star Co. basketball cards; game-used items; Babe Ruth memorabilia; tobacco cards; trophies and rings; programs; tickets; memorabilia and other items.
