Topps has made its largest NIL investment to date, announcing a deal with Gongaza basketball star Chet Holmgren Wednesday morning.

Regarded as the top high school player in the nation last year, the 7-foot Holmgren is in his freshman season with the Bulldogs where he’s averaging 13.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
Topps will produce physical and digital trading cards in a deal that will utilize products such as Bowman NEXT and a new product called Bowman University.
Holmgren will assist in a player-curated set, an artist-based set, and Topps NOW cards that capture highlights from the 2021/2022 season.
The 19-year-old Minneapolis native will also sign cards for Topps and will be included in social media content.
“I am beyond excited to be partnering with such an iconic company like Topps who has showcased some of the best athletes in the world over the last 80 years,” stated Holmgren. “I’m looking forward to teaming up with Topps as they continue to capture the action of the game and I’m excited to share my passion of basketball with fans and collectors around the world.”

A limited-edition card will also be released with all proceeds benefitting Can Do Canines, a non-profit group that helps people with through specially trained dogs.
