Normally, you head for the entertainment page of your favorite website to grab the latest Charlie Sheen news. Not today.
Thanks to an assist from Darryl Strawberry, the actor/collector just completed a private signing of memorabilia, including baseballs and sports movie-related memorabilia from his appearances in Major League and Eight Men Out.
Sheen forged a deal with SportsMemorabilia.com to sign never-before-offered film prop replica jerseys, and baseballs. He also signed photos from some of his other performances in landmark films such as Wall Street and Platoon and his recent sitcom Two And A Half Men.
The signing took place April 10 in New York City and was witnessed by the PSA/ DNA which will track them in its online database.
For the first time, Sheen signed “Wild Thing #99” jerseys from the movie Major League. He’s added the #99 from his Rick Vaughn character to many of the items and also inscribed some with his now famous “Winning” expression.
Prices range from $180 to $225 per item.
Sheen broke the news to his fans about his first ever autograph signing via Twitter, where he has over 1,000,000 followers. In the tweet, he credited Mets outfielder Daryl Strawberry with arranging the session.
