Can’t get to Cooperstown? Passing through the Carolinas this summer? We’ve found a possible pit stop for you.
Think North Carolina and a couple of things likely come to mind for sports fans. College basketball and NASCAR.
Those who know baseball, however, are hip to the fact that the state sent plenty of native sons into pro ball including a few Hall of Famers. The North Carolina Baseball Museum isn’t big, but it is big on memorabilia of some of those who came from the area–and other superstars who once played in the little burg of Wilson.
Watch as Kim Gernardo of NBC 17 in Raleigh-Durham takes us inside the Museum as part of a series of summertime vacation reports.
