A 25-year-old Nebraska man who stole cards and money from collectors will have to pay back those he swindled.
A judge sentenced Christopher Carlson Monday after police caught up with a scheme that look place last year involving cards that were never delivered to buyers or as part of online trades. Others were simply counterfeit.

A few turned out to be great. Some never sniffed the majors. To Larry Norton of Milford, OH, they’re all one and the same–at least when it comes to his collection.
The 60-year-old baseball fan’s collecting focus is autographed baseballs of players who were taken number one overall in the annual MLB Draft.
It’s been quite a journey, partly because finding some of the guys who wound up leaving the game before seeing their name in lights has been quite a task.
βI started and stopped a few times, momentum-wise, but I never gave up on the mission,β he says.
