The Hottest Cam Newton Rookie Cards

Pressure is nothing new to the 2010 Heisman Trophy winner.  He faced it while leading Auburn to an SEC and a national championship.  He stared it down in 2011 when the Carolina Panthers made him the top pick in the NFL Draft.  Then it was the mammoth contract extension (5 years, $103.8 million) that had skeptics wondering if he was worth it.  Judging by the interest in Cam Newton rookie cards, it’s safe to say he is.

Newton Numbers

Newton is validating Carolina’s confidence. He’s already the only quarterback in NFL history with 100+ pass TD (102) and 25+ rush TD (39) in his first five seasons.

And the amazing stats continue to mount.

On December 20, Newton became the first player in NFL history with at least 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards and 5 TD passes in the same game.

Already a two-time Pro Bowl player, his list of NFL accomplishments is piling up and Newton is just now entering what should be his prime.

Rookie Rundown

Newton rookie cards are spread throughout 2011 products and range from the base cards in various products that can be had for a couple bucks in ungraded form to autographed, low print run relic cards that run into the thousands.

He’s got autographed rookie cards in popular products such as 2011 Panini National Treasures and Gold Standard, Topps Five Star, Triple Threads, Finest, Chrome and Inception.

His 1/1  Finest Superfractor Auto Patch carries the top price of current cards listed on eBay at $9,999.99 but there are other auto patches, most of which carry on card signatures, available at much lower prices.  If the Panthers become a consistent Super Bowl contender with Newton at the controls, some of them could wind up being very good long-term plays.
