Derek Jeter’s partnership with Topps has spawned a new set of Jeter curated cards.
The Hall of Fame shortstop provided input and signed autographs for the 2022 “Call of The Captain” set.
Boxes offer 15 cards—9 base, two numbered parallels, three foil inserts and one autograph or relic card.
It’s the latest in a line of Jeter focused products produced since he signed his deal with Topps, following 2020 Topps X Jeter, 2020 Transcendent Captain’s Collection and 2021 Captain’s Crew.
The base set checklist for Call of the Captain will consist of 50 cards including current players and 2022 rookies. Base card parallels include cards numbered to 175, 150, 125, 99, 75, 50, 25, 10, 5 and 1.
Eight of the 50 base cards will be from the “Captain’s Showdown” subset, featuring some of the top pitchers Jeter squared off against during his career.
The “22 Years of Topps” foilboard inserts offer a look back at Jeter’s Topps flagship rookie cards over the course of his career. Those fall three per pack and will have parallels numbered to 10, 5 and 1. Autographed versions have been produced as well.
“Captain’s Quest” relic cards will commemorate his path to 3,000 hits with numbered parallels also possible. Parallels include cards numbered to 50, 25, 10, 5 and 1.
There are base relic cards with a checklist of 39 subjects.
Boxes will be available for 30 days or until supplies run out. They’re priced at $49.99 and are available via this page on Topps’ website.
