If there is such a thing as an ‘affordable’ 1935 National Chicle Bronko Nagurski, a mid-grade copy is it. One found a new home Tuesday night while a PSA 8 gathers bids on Memory Lane.
It’s official. The latter half of 2006 is the "Bronko Nagurski" era of football cards. One mint copy set a record for football cards back in the summer, raking in a cool $240,000.
Another, graded PSA 8, is currently up for bid in Memory Lane Inc’s current auction with a high bid of over $18,000. It will likely set a record–certainly for Bronko Nagurski collectibles.
But for those who buy their stuff off the rack, eBay was the place to be Tuesday night when a nice-looking SGC 60 sold for $7,999.
30 bids were entered before a relative newcomer(?) landed it. At least it appears legit. It’s one of the centerpieces in the football card hobby, especially sought-after by members of the PSA Set Registry chasing down their Hall of Fame Rookies set.
