Like the Super Bowl, the National Sports Collectors Convention hops around from city to city.
Like pro football’s championship game, though, the NSCC board does have favorite cities.
Other cities have been a bit of a gamble. Atlantic City didn’t work out well. Anaheim was the scene of one of the wildest Nationals ever back in the early 90s. In 1996, it was so-so.
Baltimore would seem to be a natural. Good baseball town. Not too big. Not too small. Fertile collecting ground within a few hours drive. Time will tell if this week’s show is a winner but it’s a fresh topic of discussion in the city.
