Mosaic is one of those brands you can typically find in multiple configurations and with the NFL playoffs in full swing, January was a pretty good time for this typically popular product to drop.
2022 Mosaic football blasters feature six, 6 card packs. Make sure you look for the all new ultra rare Razzle Dazzle cards (typing that in my best Dick Vitale voice…baby).
The blasters also advertise four Mosaic prizms per box. Also make sure you’re looking for the Orange Fluorescents that are blaster exclusives.
There is a very slim chance you can pull an autograph out of a blaster. They do promote the Script and Rookie Script signature cards.
Forget Good Will, we are Brock Purdy hunting in this one. The rookie QB has the NFL–and the hobby–buzzing.
Judging by the first pack, you’ll hit four veterans right off the top followed by a rookie card and an insert card to round out the pack. Our first pack saw us pull a Jamison Williams rookie card and a Dak Prescott Will to Win insert.
After the four veterans in our second pack, we hit a Phindarian Mathis rookie. We have seen this Washington Commanders first year defensive tackle in literally everything we opened this year, or at least it feels like it. As an added bonus, I think there’s only one picture of existence of him, too.
We hit an Austin Ekeler Green Mosaic in this pack as well.
In the next pack we hit a rookie Mosaic Prizm of Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson and a pretty cool Mosaic Prizm featuring Ray Lewis in Hall of Fame and Holofame form. It is a pretty card, for sure.
The next pack actually offered two rookies with one being the NFL debut of New Orleans Saints receiver Chris Olave. We also pulled a pretty cool Green Mosaic of Tom Brady.
Will this be the last year we see Brady cards as an active player?
Our next to last pack had a nice Peyton Manning Mosaic honoring his Super Bowl MVP Trophy, which is a subset within the product.
We also snagged our second Holofame, this time of The Bus, Jerome Bettis.
Down to our last pack, as we were praying for Purdy, our prayers were not answered. We hit a base rookie of Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell and a Green rookie Mosaic Prizm of Titans potential QB of the future Malik Willis.
And that’s a wrap on this one–36 cards in all with the usual blaster mix of rookies, parallels and inserts.
We have the boxes for about 40 bucks on the shelf and that seems to be about the going rate online as well, so you definitely have a chance to find something to flip or at least PC some nice rookie cards and colors. At this price point, it’s worth going for it on fourth down.
