Someone liked George Brett's bronze bust at the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame so much they stole it. It was found, ditched by the side of the road with a message on it.
Law enforcement officers and museum officials went searching for a bronze bust of former Kansas City Royals third baseman George Brett that was removed from it's base outside the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.
It was found in a box along a highway, labeled “Please return to the police, stolen property.”
Museum officials said it was worth $10,000-15,000 but no one will be cashing in.
