A family tragedy inspired one Indiana boy to raise his own money for college by selling autographed football cards . Now, he’s inspired someone in a position to give his project a major boost.
It was hard enough losing his younger brother at age 11.
When 14 year-old Cole Langenfeld saw his family’s medical bills mount, he decided he needed to help. The Terre Haute, Indiana middle schooler hatched a plan to write to numerous football players in hopes of having them autograph the football cards he’d send them. He was hoping to sell them so he’d have money for college in a few years.
A recipient of one of those letters–a former Chicago Bear– was so touched by Cole’s story, he’s using his resources to give the project a kick-start.
